Not every home needs the same clean, and not everyone needs to start at the same place. If you are hiring help for the first time, spend the money where it buys back the most of your time.
Bathrooms first
Bathrooms are the slowest rooms in a home relative to their size, and the least pleasant to do. Showers, grout, chrome and floors take real time and real detail. This is usually the single best hour you can buy.
Then the kitchen
Kitchens are where the visible difference shows instantly, especially the sink, the stovetop and the floor. A degreased kitchen changes how the whole home feels.
Then floors
Floors are the largest surface in any home, which makes them tedious rather than difficult. Vacuuming and washing properly, including edges and closets, is another job worth handing over.
What you can keep doing yourself
Dishes, laundry, daily tidying and bed making are quick tasks that benefit from being done by the person living there. Delegating them rarely saves money relative to the time on site.
When to add extras
Interior ovens, fridges, cabinets and interior windows are not part of a standard recurring visit because they take significant extra time. Add them to a first clean or a deep clean, and then to a recurring visit a few times a year. It keeps the cost predictable.
Start with one clean, then decide
You do not have to commit to a plan to find out whether help is worth it. Book one visit, watch how long the team is actually on site and how much of the list gets done, then decide on a frequency. Weekly suits busy households. Bi-weekly is our most common plan. Monthly works well for homes that are already tidy and want a dependable reset rather than day-to-day upkeep.
